Arts Integration

Arts Integration is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both.

  • Dance is effective because it involves sensory input, holds students’ attention for longer periods of time, helps them make connections between new and past learning, and improves long-term recall. 

  • Upholds High Order Thinking Skills Consistent with National Standards

  • Dance engages all the senses, wires the brain for successful learning, develops gross motor skills, and enhances emotional well-being.
